Zihuatanejo

Italian shipyard Posillipo launched Zihuatanejo in 2004 and refitted her in 2021. She’s a luxury motor yacht built on one of the brand’s custom models. This family charter has enough room to hold 10 guests and includes lots of premium amenities. You’ll love the oversized living spaces, upscale gym, and array of onboard water toys.

Interiors

Walking into Zihuatanejo is like entering an elegant mansion. The plush interiors feature special touches like shiny wood accents and luxe throw pillows. The designers kept a neutral, peaceful color scheme during the refit to maintain a sense of calm throughout each space. 

They thoughtfully chose each piece, including the leather covered dining chairs and opulent bed linens. You’ll also love the interior air conditioning that keeps you cool no matter how hot it gets outside.

There are four suites, including one master cabin, one VIP cabin and two twin cabins. In addition, there’s room for four crew members to travel with your party. They’ll oversee all of the logistics so you don’t have to worry about a thing.

History

Posillipo is one of the biggest names in the Italian yachting industry. They crafted traditional wooden vessels at first, but switched to motor yachts with their highly acclaimed Technema line.

Today, it’s hard to cruise around the Mediterranean without spotting one of their iconic Technema flybridges. Like all of their yachts, these models blur the line between traditional and contemporary by incorporating sleek lines and distinctive features.

Most of Posillipo’s boats are superyachts, including Zihuatanejo. It’s 87’3” long and runs smoothly on the water thanks to her planing hull. She comfortably cruises at 17 knots, but you can push her 10 more knots before she hits her limit.

Amenities & Recreation

You’ll have lots to see and experience when you book a charter on Zihuatanejo. The sun deck and sun pads are great spots to soak up the rays while the swimming platform helps you cool off on balmy afternoons.

Guests who want a little more adventure can take some of the onboard water toys out for a spin. They’ll love the paddleboard, banana boat and inflatables. You’ll also have access to scuba diving equipment if you want to take an up-close gander at the marine life below.

Zihuatanejo is available for summer and winter reservations. She cruises around Italy’s Mediterranean coast all year and visits hotspots like Sardina and the Amalfi Coast.
