Squalo

Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo launched Squalo in 2018. This is a luxury motor yacht that can hold up to eight guests. The design is based on the brand’s SL86 model and features many custom touches like underwater lighting. You’ll love the spacious decks, comfy sunpads and wide collection of water toys on board. 

Dimensions & Performance

Squalo is 26.76 meters or 87’10” long. She’s moderately sized for an adventure charter but don’t let her proportions fool you. This yacht is fast and nimble thanks to her planing hull and superstructure. She glides beautifully on the water while keeping you calm and comfortable on deck. 

You’re welcome to take her up to 26 knots but she’ll perform best at 11 knots. Her at anchor stabilizers reduce roll and pitch whether you’re cruising or staying still. 

Interiors

Sanlorenzo often teams up with esteemed designers to make their yachts as attractive as they are efficient. For Squalo, they partnered with an American designer named Marty Lowe. Lowe has a unique and creative style that incorporates neutrals with bold pops of color. 

The decor is peaceful and modern with lots of straight lines and low profiles. I love the wide windows that frame the spectacular views in the living, dining and sleeping areas. 

There are four suites on this vessel including a master suite, a VIP cabin and two twin cabins. Four crew members can also travel with your group. They’ll make sure you have everything you need during your getaway. 

Amenities & Recreation

One of the best things about Squalo is the huge collection of water toys available. This family charter has something for everyone regardless of age or ability. Those who want a high speed thrill ride will love the Jet Skis, wakeboards and kneeboards. There are also paddleboards and inflatable toys if you want to take a more relaxing cruise around the shoreline. 

You can also try the two SEABOBS for a totally unique spin on snorkeling or diving. This electrically powered scooter can go above or below water and dives up to 40 meters deep. A Boston Whaler Tender will take you back to the boat when it’s time to rest.
