Length and Design

Joy, the flagship of Lagoon’s Seventy 7 model, is a 78’3/23.85m luxury sailing catamaran brought to you from Bordeaux, France. This spacious vessel blends flowing lines with precision functionality that makes it a try “joy” to charter. Featuring sumptuous interiors by Nauta Design and naval architecture by Van Peteghem-Lauriot Prévost (VPLP), you’ll be wrapped in elegance and comfort wherever you may roam on the Joy.

Accommodations

With 4 suites, Joy can accommodate 8 guests. The master suite has an ensuite bathroom, walk-in wardrobe, and desk space. The two double cabins have king-size beds, and the twin cabin has two single bunk beds. There is room to accommodate four crew members, leaving you free to relax during the trip. Joy’s typical cruising route is around the 121 dispersed islands of French Polynesia in the South Pacific.

Performance & Capabilities

Joy’s twin Volvo Penta engines produce a comfortable cruising speed of 9 knots, with a top speed of 10 knots. With a 1.92 meter (6’4”) draft, Joy navigates various conditions comfortably. With a GRP-based hull and superstructure, Joy is as robust as she is beautiful. 

Recreation & Amenities

Expansive windows allow for a wash of natural light through the flowing indoor spaces. If you wish to remain in touch with the outside world, Joy has onboard Wi-Fi connectivity and an Ocean Master Tender for transfers to shore. Onboard BBQ facilities make for easy social mealtimes. When it gets too hot on deck, head below to a cool, comfortably air-conditioned interior. Enjoy downtime in the main saloon with comfortable sofas, a bar, and high-tech entertainment systems.

The Joy also features three exterior spaces for you to enjoy. The rear cockpit can be used for dining or relaxing on plentiful seating. The front cockpit offers living room-style seating and leads to the trampoline net. The flybridge is an open space, allowing you 360 degree views across the water. It’s covered by a hardtop and houses the navigation station, more seating and sunpads. 

When it comes to fun on the high seas, the Joy has you covered with a vast array of toys for you to take full advantage of the water. Whether you prefer the peaceful dip and swing of a kayak’s oars, or the high-speed adrenaline of water skis, kneeboards, and wakeboards, Joy provides what you need. Ride waves solo on a surfboard or paddleboard, or buddy-up for fun in a banana. For those who prefer exploring below the surface, Joy provides scuba diving and snorkeling equipment.
