History
Azimut was founded in 1969 by Italian Paolo Vitelli, who was only a college student at the time. Today the company is part of the Azimut | Benetti Group and majority held by the Vitelli family. Though Azimut boasts deep Italian roots, it also integrates New World innovation, with production facilities in both Italy and Brazil. The goal of Azimut is to consistently innovate and build yachts that evoke emotion through breathtaking beauty and best-in-class performance.
